Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of astr (the “Service”), operated by Astr LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. If we learn you are under 18, we will terminate your account and delete your data.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate birth data (date, time, and location). Falsifying this data defeats the purpose of the Service and is grounds for termination.
• You may not create more than one account, impersonate another person, or use the account of another person.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

• Harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate any other user.
• Upload nude, sexually explicit, or graphically violent content.
• Solicit money, promote scams, or send unsolicited commercial content.
• Post content that infringes copyright, trademark, or any other right.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service.
• Attempt to bypass security features, rate limits, or paywalls.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

Full behavioral rules are set out in our Community Guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination without refund.

You retain ownership of the photos, bio, messages, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the Service.

You represent that you have the right to submit any User Content you upload, that it does not infringe any third party's rights, and that it complies with our Community Guidelines.

We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe exposes us to legal risk.

• The Service offers free and paid tiers. Paid tiers are billed monthly by Stripe. Prices are shown in the app before checkout.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• All payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, email legal@astr.love.
• We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice by email or in-app.

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users or to us.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (User Content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) survive termination.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that you will find compatible matches, form connections, or achieve any particular outcome. Astrological content is for entertainment and self-reflection; it is not a substitute for professional advice.

We do not conduct background checks on users. You are responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users, online or off. Use common sense: meet in public, tell a friend, trust your instincts.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTR LLC, A WYOMING LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (b) US $100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Astr LLC, a Wyoming limited liability companyand its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@astr.love that includes: (1) your signature, (2) the copyrighted work, (3) the infringing material and where it is located, (4) your contact info, (5) a statement of good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, contact us at legal@astr.love. Most disputes can be resolved in email.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in the State of Wyoming or by videoconference. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.

Small-claims exception. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead.

Opt-out.You may opt out of this arbitration provision within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us with your name and the words “arbitration opt-out.”

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Where arbitration does not apply, any suit must be brought in a state or federal court located in the State of Wyoming.

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
